Account management is an art.

It’s a balance between proactivity, consistency, and personality.

About Me

I’ve always been fascinated by people who can effortlessly draw you in. People who are genuinely interesting and charismatic.

On the surface, it seems like they just have a great personality. It’s who they are. In some ways, it’s true. Some people just have it.

However, I always thought there might be something more to it. Something that can be learned. Perhaps something that can be taught.

When I became an Account Manager in 2007, I started to see the blueprint more clearly. I noted what worked and what didn’t work. I mentally documented thousands of interactions to look for commonalities and traits. I noted core values in relationship management and incorporated new communication techniques. Over the years, I created many wonderful relationships with clients, opening feedback channels to drive personal growth and improve my (and my team’s) management capabilities. I realized that I was learning through every relationship I managed, and so I started teaching what I knew.

What followed was a roadmap for creating better client relationships. A playbook of tips and tricks, best practices, communication standards, and account management values. Everything I do is rooted in proactivity, consistency, and personality. I love sharing what I know, because creating better relationships is more sustainable, more ethical, and more satisfying than chasing personal gains.

I won’t teach you how to be an Account Manager, but I will teach you how to be a great Account Manager.
