For some reason, everyone at my company has been obsessed with eating challenges. It all started with a 5-pound hamburger at Fuddrucker’s for Fat Tuesday back in 2009 and moved on to a 30-inch pizza a few months later. From then on, various employees have made attempts at 50 cookies, 40 Reese’s peanut butter cups, a pound and a half of Rice Krispy Treats and eight bagels. Because I am an avid supporter of these eating challenges, I thought it only fair to make a solo attempt at one myself and thus, the Wendy’s Value Menu Challenge was born.
The idea was to eat everything on the Wendy’s Value Menu in one business day. It doesn’t seem like a lot, but once you get going and are held to a time limit, all logic goes out the window. I started feeling it by lunch time but in the end, my strength and determination paid off (not to mention my love for Wendy’s food which, admittedly, has decreased slightly since the challenge.) I hope you enjoy this homemade video of the challenge.
