This is kind of a mind-boggling video showing just exactly how much food we waste. While we individually aren’t entirely to blame, our processes for getting food from the farm to the table are completely inefficient. If we all make personal changes to the way we buy and consume food, we can save a lot of food for other people in the world that need it.
Obviously, just doing this won’t deliver food to people that need it, but it’s a start. And if you donate to international charities (such as the World Food Program) in conjunction with being aware of your food consumption, the world just might be a better place.
