It seems so easy to track the goals on your website. If someone bought something from you online they must have completed a goal, right? It’s almost always not that easy. Assuming you have multiple conversion points on your website (buy buttons, email sign-ups, newsletter sign-ups, etc.) you have multiple reasons to be tracking your visitors elsewhere.
