Last year, Google launched the Good To Know website to help users understand online security and how to keep yourself safe when browsing the interwebs. With eCommerce at an all time high (Amazon recently reached a record $21b in sales this holiday season), it’s important now more than ever to keep yourself safe from identity theft and online prowlers.
Yesterday was “Safer Internet Day” (decided by an unknown person, probably in an IT department office somewhere), so Google decided to update its website and provide even more information as to how Google keeps you safe online and how to keep yourself safe outside of Google properties. It’s a great resource for online safety, as it’s pretty easy to forget these days how many times you enter private information on the web.
